What the program covers:
ComEd's commercial energy efficiency program operates under the Illinois Energy Efficiency Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) framework with both prescriptive incentives for standard lighting upgrades and custom incentives for larger or atypical projects. The program covers fixture upgrades, networked lighting controls, and integrated retrofit projects.
How the application process works:
ComEd's program generally requires pre-approval submission for non-prescriptive or larger projects before installation begins. Pre-approval establishes project scope and confirms incentive eligibility. Standard prescriptive measures can sometimes be submitted post-installation. Documentation requirements include fixture cut sheets, AHRI/DLC qualified product confirmation, baseline equipment information, and proof of installation.
Echelon handles ComEd application submission from start to finish under the customer's name. We prepare pre-approval forms with photometric calculations and product documentation, manage the post-installation submission with as-builts and commissioning reports, and coordinate any program-required inspections. Customers receive the rebate check directly; Echelon's fee is included in the project quote without separate program-related charges.
